Thrills vs Enticement

April 29, 2021

Q: What question should I ask?

A: “What is the most important thing on which I should focus my energy and attention?”

A: The lack of direction is taking you off-track from the optimal path you desire. What is needed is a separation of what thrills you and what entices you. Enticement can be empty promises that don’t fulfill once you actually taste of it. It may not be what you thought it would be and disappoints you, taking more than it gives, or leaving you feeling emptier or worse than before. What thrills you, on the other hand, is something of substance that motivates, that feeds you in the performance and pursuit of it. It does not leave you empty, for the reward was in the journey, the doing of it, and not necessarily in reaching the end goal—which as humans you push further and further out as you attain them in your search and pursuit for evolving and manifesting greatness in your lives.

Q: How can I know upfront the difference between the two?

A: The successful implementation of choosing joy and satisfaction is one in which you will feel sure-footing and groundedness in peace so that no matter the choice, the decision will be right for you if you sense satisfaction, wholeness, serendipity. The other will feel elusive like a cloud without substance. As soon as you reach out to grab and take it, it disappears. It eludes you, always in mist and shadow and emptiness. Pursue those things that make your body and soul say “yes” in unison, not those things in which you are divided, for that eats up your energy and attention that you could be using in a more embodied way than in second-guessing, daydreaming, weighing consequences and pros and cons. Love your life as it is and seek not those empty things that promise to fulfill and complete you but that never let you already grab hold of, slipping between your clutching, frantic fingers. Open up your heart and let/allow Source to love through you and in such a way you can find the love you need for yourself and your life.
