An Easier Way to Learn?

Q: Why is it a journey? (Question inspired by the LIVE Root Beer Kombucha lid that said, “The Journey Starts Now”.) Aren’t there other ways to learn than by experience? Why do our souls choose the human journey?
A: There are other ways to learn but they are not as powerful or potent. You may think a transcendental moment in which a knowledge is gifted or bestowed at once might be better, easier, less traumatic and just as effective or even more impactful, but the truth is that those transcendental moments—these instantaneous transmissions—are far more egotistical than is good for a human normally. Gifts can be spurned or not heard—the intended recipient grown blind or deaf, and yes, those could be miraculously reversed but the learning is the best way for us all to communicate what it is that’s in our souls—if it feels organically grown there, not transplanted. The roots grow deep in native soil. A seed of truth can take root and flourish in dirt that is cultivated carefully, but a full grown tree transplanted to a foreign container may not fare as well. The feeling of ownership is key—ownership of the experience, of the truth. Sometimes there can just be a “knowing” but even that is often the result and gift of certain truths that have gained a certain level of maturity. When knowledge is disseminated in a non-experienced way, it can sometimes feel like algebra in school that you find yourself wondering if you’ll ever use. The gift’s value is lost on the student who sits quietly, understanding these things as only concepts and vague lessons disconnected from himself. In the human experience, one is invested in the learning process and truly becomes changed for the betterment of his own evolution and higher elevation. To experience what something is and what something is not, to have tasted and felt and sorrowed over and rejoiced over is a lesson truly learned. Heart-felt and not brain-transmitted is how the truth gets transmitted into the DNA—into the essence of your being and the Universe’s fabric of intelligence. Love the painful experiences as well as the blissful for they are all Divine opportunities to take lessons of love to the heart, to the gut, and rise to higher levels/grades in this Universal school.
