Divine Tightrope

Q: What should I do, if anything, with my book of poems? Is it too dark or depressing?

A: The attitude of the heart anchors and steers the vessel of any project. The tireless effort of trying to make something and put it out there for readers’ consumption can be vicious in that you may have the motivation to do it but the publication or publicity may not be there to “validate” your experience and feelings. In that way it is “safer” to stay in your computer and not on a bookshelf gathering dust like your other book of poetry. Taking inappropriate status in how well or poorly it is received would be a mistake. Your life and your experience of it was not a mistake and thus writing and sharing about it cannot be a mistake. Just know that the people with whom it resonates may not be as vocal or numerous as you would like. You can take your time to make sure it is the way you want it to be, a showcase of your finer feelings and thoughts to enlighten some about a different way in which people “take” things or experience the same situation differently. Trust your path is not and should not and cannot be the same as anyone else’s exactly, but your heart energy can. In that way, like souls can find refreshment and sense of home in each other’s company. For although we are individual souls complete unto itself, it is in a family, a communion, that souls thrive even more. Like water to thirsty plot of ground, friendship grounded in a love frequency soothes a tired heart, a weary soul. It’s a strange miracle of symbiosis and multiplied efforts.

Q: Why am I bored often?

A: The reciprocity of enlightenment and trust goes hand-in-hand with validation. Validation, in turn, excites possibilities for more potential outcomes. Potential outcomes of positive receptivity are what invigorate the imagination. Thus, continuing to trust, which can sound dull, is the best tool moving forward in a quest for gainful excitement as the Universe is eager to gift seekers and trusters both answers and opportunities to trust—living on the Divine tightrope knowing there is always a safety net below.
