Failure

September 1, 2020

Q: Why do you want me to know about my podcast?

A: The very essence of being vulnerable is access to one’s heart. There is no access with all gates up and windows drawn. Vulnerable is also just that—being easier for attack. Love is like that in that love cannot be hinged on what is known always, but also the things felt and believed in faith. Signs are for those who need them, who ask for them, who run toward them—not questioning at arm’s length if it is solid or truthful but giving everything the benefit of doubt in its favor. Love the process of being vulnerable—both the good and bad of it, for one doesn’t come without the other.

Q: Should I continue the podcast?

A: Failure looks like many things, my love, but it does not look like trying when your heart is in it. If you are enjoying the process and getting more out of it than resistance, continue; but if your soul gets heavy in the plodding and not trodding light with happy heart, it may be time to explore other things that light you up.
