Being Right

January 24, 2021

Q: What wisdom do you have for me and my readers tonight?

A: The thrill of being right cannot compare—it pales to the light of bringing value to an interaction or conversation. You are not the one on trial, although everyone thinks he or she is the thing that matters—that’s being judged—when really it is the truthfulness and integrity of what you bring to the the table that is being weighed by hearts and minds. The moment’s little things—what you look like, what you drive, your grammatical errors—these are not important or rather do not have the importance you give them. What is remembered and mined from conversations and interactions is your love or lack thereof. Bring what light to bear in every situation that you can and the world will be so much better off for your input. They say evil wins when good men do nothing and the truth behind that is that when we miss opportunities for showing grace and benevolence and the important truth, the constantly-weighing heart judges in favor of the less important things—the lesser truths that don’t propel the world forward like it could otherwise. Seek opportunities not to put yourself forward as a magician or religious leader or spiritual master but rather as a teammate, a cheerleaders, for others as though acknowledging that no hierarchy of souls exists, but simply experiences and that those who are ready to ascend, to seek higher paths, can both be encouraged by you and serve as encouragement to you. Love one another, uphold one another. Decisive action on the side of important truths is destined for victory, even if it seems/looks like a disastrous failure. Weigh whether your truth to which you attach so much importance is one of personal preference or judgement against a particular person, ideology, or group of people you deem not as spiritually enlightened as yourself. Personal preference and judgement against someone leaves little room for you to see the bigger picture of Justice and Love at play. Step back and only allow words born of love and wholesome grace to pass your lips and berth in your heart. Everything else is lesser truth and shrinks your perspective of what’s possible. Lean into love instead of fear or hate.
